What are Absolute Snap Calipers and their uses?

The Mitutoyo ABSOLUTE Snap caliper has a spring-loaded mechanism in the slide that allows for speedy measurements and go/no-go judgments. Upper and lower jaws enable precise outside and inner measurements. The depth bar allows for step and depth measurements.
